Kawloon: The Largest House in the World is an original puppet production inspired by the former Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong — once one of the most densely populated places in the world. The story follows Tuan, who stands alone at the gate of a vast apartment block, trying to find his way inside and discover a new home.

Kowloon Walled City was a part of Hong Kong that was not subject to government control. Over time, the original defensive fortress grew into one enormous structure covering an area of 0.026 km² and providing a home for more than fifty thousand inhabitants. Through puppetry, projection, light, sound animation and live music, the performance explores the process of discovering an intricate, unfamiliar place and gradually turning it into a home.
