There is a years-long bullying conflict between two classmates, Denas and Liutauras. Love is also involved here - both like the same classmate. Everything takes a more complicated turn when, during a party, Denas in defense of his friend, calls Liutauras a bastard, thus insulting his father, a school teacher.
"Adolescence is the experience of first love, attempts to express and nurture it, and along with it, the fear of rejection. This period also tests the loyalty of best friends to each other. The play explores the themes of responsibility and neutrality. How can a young person learn to take responsibility for his actions? When should you stand up for your beliefs and when should you back down? When and how can adults help solve such problems and does parental intervention always help?" - says the author and the director of the play, Goda Simonaitytė.
In her play "Animals", young people are revealed as instinctive animals that the school tries to place in the framework of "humanity". However, their courage, drive, thirst to experience as independent a life as possible, desire to solve their own problems make them more sensitive and sometimes even more mature than adults.
The performance is intended for students of grades 8-12.
