The contemporary circus performance “Maisto prekės” explores the everyday life of a place familiar to us all, a simple Lithuanian store-warehouse. Although the foreground of the performance is a humorous image of a grocery store with the characters in it, the performance talks about post-traumatic stress disorder and different people's attitudes towards the same life situations.
For the contemporary circus and interdisciplinary art organization “būda.collective”, the identity of our country is important. The basis of this performance is the creators' own memories from their native homes, so while being in the “Maisto prekės” store, you will encounter nostalgia and see a story about all of us! The performance uses physical theater and circus disciplines: juggling, object manipulation, quick change.
