ConTempo OFF’25 is gaining momentum! We are delighted that each year this program attracts increasing interest and creative initiatives. This year, as many as 21 creative teams expressed their desire to participate, involving more than 120 artists from Lithuania. It is truly difficult for us to say “no” to so many great ideas, but at this time, our available technical, infrastructural, and human resources do not allow us to accommodate everyone in the ConTempo OFF program. Nevertheless, we are excited to present this year’s participants:

• Interdisciplinary work “Woman with a Stone In Her Mouth” by artist Greta Gudelytė;
• Contemporary opera “The Sailor” by composer Lukas Butkus and director Jonas Kuprevičius;
• Contemporary oratorio “The 45th Frost” by composer Domantas Pūro;
• Musical performance “Longing” by artists Justina Mykolaitytė and godo yorke;
• Research-based dance performance “Kasa kosa koltūnas” by artists Beatričė Zaveckaitė and Anna Fedoronchuk (Ukraine);
• Sustainable, organically decaying exhibition “Ephemera” by Eglė Jasaitytė.

The #ConTempoOFF25 program will take place on August 7 across almost all spaces of the Kaunas City Chamber Theatre. Now in its third year, this independent experimental performing arts platform aims to present works by Lithuanian and international creators that do not fit within traditional boundaries of music, theatre, or visual arts, nor into conventional festival formats.
